Rainbow City at the High Line!

Sometimes I can be one terrible New Yorker. For the past two years I have put off visiting the High Line since it went up. For the past three months I have worked only a few blocks away from it and I still fail to make an effort to go. I think FriendsWithYou's Rainbow City was easily just a slight push to get me to check out not only the cutest installation ever but also walk along the newest section of the High Line in Midtown.

I liked their merch but I really didn't need any of it. However, I somehow walked away with a lapel and iPhone skin. So frivolous of me.

The Coolhaus Ice Cream truck was there and we couldn't resist their ice cream sandwiches on this muggy day. I chose "Dirty Mint Chip" wedged between double chocolate fudge cookies!

My Favorite Summer Lip Colors

The weather has been pretty up and down here in NYC but my routine still remains to be quick and lazy. I think a good, bright lip color that suits your skin tone is an easy fix for perking up your face, especially for those who rush in the morning like me. These are my favorites as I am presently guilty of wanting to have all of these in my bag at the same time, all the time.

Revlon ColorBurst Gloss in Strawberry

The two NARS lipsticks are my first NARS lip products ever! I had a gift certificate and used it to buy these. What's really sad is that I blindly picked these two because they were used in previous J.Crew lookbooks. I'm such a consumer. Luckily they didn't turn out looking terrible on me!

If you can find MAC Hibiscus at a local counter near you, I highly suggest it. It's an excellent coral for summer in my favorite MAC lipstick formula, Cremesheen. It sold out online the first day it was up but I found it easily at the MAC counter at Macy's in Herald Square. I love this color and the packaging is pretty cute. It might be hard to tell in the photo, but it is not as bright as NARS Heat Wave.

I can't speak for the other shades in the Revlon ColorBurst Gloss line but I do love Strawberry. It's a perfect bright pink gloss just on its own. The formula can easily be compared to other high end non-glossy lip glosses.

Writing this post just thankfully reminded me to pick up some lip balm with SPF...

I recently went to California for a few days...

Spent the day at Disneyland.

I got to ride the new Little Mermaid ride a week before its Grand Opening!
