A Good Dog

I love a functional, organizational piece that also doubles as a nice little eye-catcher. In an effort to organize my favorite and most worn rings, I scoured the Internet (not really) for an option that will look cute against my occasionally messy desk. Usually I would drop my rings off into a catch-all dish which was just okay - that same dish was also used for my watch and random bracelets, making it too jumbled of a mess. Sometimes I'd pull out a bracelet and a tiny ring would come flying out with it, totally freaking me out.
Then ASOS came and saved the day, as usual, with this fun little (and cheap) option. My rings are now happily propped up on display and for ready for plucking when I'm in a rush. This pup is the best! Unfortunately it is now sold out, but I found a similar option from Urban Outfitters here.
From top to bottom (or right to left): Ariel Gordon Mini Heart Charm Ring / Elizabeth and James sample / Vintage Mickey Mouse ring from Etsy / Catbird rings from my boyfriend / Pamela Love Luna Ring / Name ring from Disneyworld / Lauren Wolf Druzy Claw Ring / Delia Langan Gold Stacking rings / Baublebar Mini Meow Ring / Verameat Spine Ring / Les Néréides cat ring from my sister
How do you organize your favorite rings and things?
Chanel Illusion d’Ombre Eyeshadow in Emerville

(Photobombed by my favorite little paws. Of course I had to use this shot.)
It takes a lot for me to splurge on a small, single makeup item but the Chanel Illusion d’Ombre Long Wearing Luminous Eyeshadows in particular had a nice enough reputation to warrant my purchase. After hearing lots of wonderful things about the shade Emerveille - a versatile peachy champagne - I decided to bite the bullet and get it. The guilt only lasted about a minute anyway because it's so damn pretty! It really is worth the hype and this product formula alone has made it my favorite everyday eyeshadow.
I gravitate towards natural colors that enhance my eyes in the most subtle way possible. Emerveille fit the bill completely. I think it's quite a special color. It leaves just a hint of shimmer that doesn't lean frosty which I kind of hate. Frost makes me look crazy! I don't even use a brush when applying it because it's completely foolproof. Got a clean finger? That will do just fine. When you place your finger on it, it has a cute little bounce to it, which I like. With a good eyeshadow primer (I love NARS), it further prevents it from fading or getting cakey over the course of the day.
If you've tried and loved any other shades from the Illusion d'Ombre line, please do share your favorites!
