My friend Lynda had a rooftop party in Greenpoint and this was the spectacular view!

The macaroni and cheese from DuMont is amazing and they use radiatore pasta which is a really fun noodle shape.

Tried to see Wayne's World at McCarren Park last week which ended before it even began due to a crazy 10 minute thunderstorm. This is the aftermath (a double rainbow attempt).

Night Walk

I finally walked the entire length of the High Line from the beginning in Meatpacking to the end of Section 2 in midtown. It is so magical at night! Even Rainbow City looks better during the evening hours. I know I just recently spoke about the High Line but walking it at this time of day gave off a totally different vibe...less kids and tourists perhaps. My favorite spot would have to be the 23rd Street Lawn. 

First Beach Day of the Summer!

And you thought I was done talking about Queens...too bad. I finally had my first real beach day of the summer at Rockaway Beach. Braved the subway commute, which didn't cure our antsy beach anxieties, but once we arrived it was loads of fun! The weather was perfect and the beach food was all super delicious. I wish I had a Rockaway Taco at my reach all the time because I was truly impressed with their food. So much that I didn't want it to end. Now that I am working a more than normal schedule (total mood booster), I am able to take part in so many more adventures to come!

Fireworks in Queens

Every year, just a few days before July 4th, there is a fireworks celebration at the Astoria Park waterfront in Queens. I retired from the Macy's Fireworks many years ago (too chaotic!) so this was very fun & relaxing.
